Carb jet question
Hey guys..............Have bought this 400 rrsp and have not heard it running yet.
The guy i bought it from said it has carb issues..............Anyway have stripped and cleaned them, changed all the o rings, while doing so,i noticed that one of the jets that go on the main jet, was smaller than all the others.
Is this some kind of restrictor thing? They should all be the same size. right?
Can't see any numbers on any of them....what size should they be standard.
Can someone provide me with any info........thanks in advance.....cheers.
Oh........Bike in question is a 91 GSXR 400 RRSP GK76A.

They should be the same size and im sure the sizes are listed in the sticky info section.

silly question. but how do you know it is smaller? the only way of telling is by the number on it.
a 100 will look the same as a 105 and a 110.
there was two types of main jet suzuki used on these carbs from factory. whilst one looked smaller than the other they both had 100 on them and flowed the same amount of fuel.
take a closer look and see if you can find a number.
all 76a's be it sp or std model had the same size jets. it was just carb bore emulsion tubes and needles etc that differed
a 100 will look the same as a 105 and a 110.
there was two types of main jet suzuki used on these carbs from factory. whilst one looked smaller than the other they both had 100 on them and flowed the same amount of fuel.
take a closer look and see if you can find a number.
all 76a's be it sp or std model had the same size jets. it was just carb bore emulsion tubes and needles etc that differed

Thanks for the input guys.............i really thought it was gunk.....tried poing a needle thru it but it had no effect.
Kept it submerged in carb cleaner for an hour but still nothing.
The differance is obvious to the naked eye..........its just a tiny pin hole.
Just to be clear.....in this link http://tonysleep.co.uk/gsxr400carbs it is in o ring location......wher item no 1 is located...the main jet holder....main jet goes in this and then another lttle screw/jet screws on top of it.....this is what i'm on about.
