Rossi wasn't under the bike though.
If you're a marshall you should have seen the whole incident happen and then you assess the situation as you run towards it - that's to say Rossi is not under the bike and is moving without injury.
With the benefit of hindight the marshalls were at fault but it's hard to blame them when they acted in the heat of the moment.

not a fan of either, but felt stoner was hard done by, didnt he drop the bike again trying to bump start it?
i used to bump start my 125 which is heavier than those moto gp bikes they only weigh 150kg wet!
and i did that alone, and also dropped the nc in sainsburys forecourt again liffted that alone and i weigh the same as rossi and stoner!

I would always go for the one on the floor (hope they would if it was me). But once rossi was up they should have help both riders to give each a fair chance.

speaking as a marshal you would help the rider who is still on the floor as you do not know what injurys they have you need at least 2 maybe 3 people to a bike cause in the gravel they are a bitch to pick up you need one person being a spotter just incase someone else comes in to say hello an yer help the person trying to bump the bike.
but yer all in all you go for the rider on the floor an stuff anyone who is walking around cause they are fine as far as you know.

Whoever the sector marshall told me to helpjo wrote:who would you have helped out of the gravel trap first?
And if I was the sector marshall once both riders were up and seemed OK (which they were by the time the first marshall arrived on the scene) I'd have split the team 50/50 to deal with each rider. Once one was underway as many marshalls as requiered would be told to either push the other bike and get it going or get the bike and rider off the track and behind the barrier.
Leaving a rider on a live race track alone with a non running bike was unacceptable.
