Re: UK FZR400RR
UK bikes are a 4DX instead of a 3TJ.
Apart from that...I know nothing!!

Re: UK FZR400RR
UK model is the 4DX which has a MPH speedo and fitted with a non restricted CDI/ecu. IMports are the 3tj`s 1, 2 ,3, 4, 5, depends on the year of manufacture, speedo is KLM and has restricted cdi/ecu. both bike looks exactly the same apart from the tail light. thats all i know am afraid, well its what i have read anyway in the forums anyway

Re: UK FZR400RR
i may stand corrected
but the 3tj1 and 4dx are the same beast, it's only the SPs that had the oil cooler
the 4DX from 1992 to 1995 (ie UK spec) are the same as, give or take, the 3TJ1 (which was 1989 onwards)
the models with the oil cooler were the SPs marked as 3tj 2 /6 /7 ( possibly the earlier 2tk sp had an oil cooler but i'm not sure on that one) see here
http://www.rampant-racing.com/fzr400models.html
and yes the inlaid 2 piece tail light looks the dog's, compared to the massive disco light on the 4dx

Re: UK FZR400RR
Uk bike had mph clocks, heat transducer (often mistaken for oil cooler) same as sp, unrestricted cdi, painted frame and swingarm ( not brushed effect ), larger rear light, different carb main jets, slightly different wiring loom, rounder mirrors, single nut on rear wheel spindle,,,,,, think that's about it,,,,,,

Re: UK FZR400RR
UK bikes don't have amber running lights

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Running lights are American.
Nice one with the lock nut on the rear spindle. When I went to a track day I had my tyres changed by the fitter there. God they made a meal of it and got all unptight over that lock nut, they were going to try and move it with pliers !!!

Re: UK FZR400RR
4dx also had a metal bracket below the number plate for a reflector and more foam under tank.
