Re: Thundercat forks on my 3EN2 wheel options
so, to recap (because this mod looks good and I'm keen to make sure I have it down right before lashing out even a penny!)
If you're fitting a Thundercat front wheel, you also need the yokes, forks, and brakes.
Do the yokes bolt straight up? - this was never confirmed in the thread, it just looked likely because the bottom yoke was the same stem length and roller bearing spec.
Oh, and Evil - do you still have the YZF 750 front wheel? - I have one as a track bike and I've just got some wets that need rims to put them on....

Re: Thundercat forks on my 3EN2 wheel options
Yes, the stem and yokes bolt straight up into the EN2's headstock no problem. I used the thunder cat bearing that was on my TCAT yokes, but I did swap it for the 3EN2 one just our of curiosity and they both appear to be exactly the same.
You can just buy the TCAT front end and drop the whole thing onto the EN2 no probs. I'm now toying with the idea of putting the TCAT rear wheel in the standard EN2 swing arm. I've just done the R6 shock mod, so I don't want to change the arm and mess that up. 3TJ 17" rears seem to be short on the ground at a reasonable price right now, so I figured that no less messing about would be needed to fit a TCAT rear.
Probably will have to sleeve the spindle hole, shave some of the cush/sprocket carrier mount off and sort out some spacers.

you see that is exactly the kind of well-informed reply that makes mechanical muppets like me glad that people like you's are out there doing what you do.

Thanks not only only for your spirit of innovation, but for sharing the ways through that you've found too. Same goes to Evilchicken and all you other fiddlers!
