What tyre's should i buy??
I'm very tempted to get some Metzeler Rennsport but has anyone had any experience with these?
Are they a very soft compound? I'm not going to be doing very many track days and my bike isnt a commuter so what should i get??
Pirelli diablos?
Avon?
Bridgestone 014?
Metzeler?

rennsports are exellent tyres, ive just taken off a set and replaced them with some dunlop gpr alpha 10s and they are amazing.they are only h rated but are designed for 250/400cc bikes and has really lightened up the handling(as if it needed it) dont know how long they will last but if you want outright grip they are the bollocks!the rennsports handled 2 trackdays and lots of road miles and were an exellent tyre.

+1 dunlop gpr alpha 10's
can't fault them at all, stunning amounts of feedback/grip/stability.

How do the Alpha 10's compare to BT090's? We're off for a trackday next month and thinking of getting a fresh set of tyres for the NC35[1]. We were just going to get a set of BT090's which we know and like but the Alpha 10's seem to be getting good reviews.

[1] Yes I know it's not a FZR400 but this was the first mention of Alpha10's :D

Re: What tyre's should i buy??
I always swore by 090's then had alpha 10's fitted to my zxr because i couldnt get an 090 rear at short notice for a track day at pembrey. Was V sceptical having last used dunlops a few years ago and having found them twitchy
I like them, very soft compound, bit quicker steering than 090's (but somehow more stable), seem to warm up a bit quicker than 090's, and i only had one slide all day (exiting hatchets hairpin on an out lap.. ) good in the wet too, only negative is tyre life .. dont think they'll last quite as long as the bridgestones.
I doubt I'll fit another set of 090's to a bike Im taking on track.
try some, they dont last long enough for it to be a long-term problem if you dont like them. :D

Well they still didn't have an alpha-10 in so went with BT090's anyway.
