I got no idea how this will afect the handling. Can the the difference balance takeing the forks up?
I got a PIRELLI DIABLO that i would like to try but its a 120/70/17.

i can tell you under heavy braking the tyre will kiss the V panel. also the bike tips in at an alarming rate using a 70 profile tyre. i never liked the feel from the front on the 400 with a 70. yet it works just fine on every other bike.

Ok Thanks boys.
I might have a try and i will see by myself.
But before i go for it i would like to know, if anyone can tell me, how sould i set up the front. I mean... if the profile is biger then should i take the forks up? if thas the case how much??
Thanks in advance.

You may also end up with tyre clearence issues with the front fender..
I prefer a 60 for road riding but would try a 70 on track (mayb) on a 400.. Any other sportsbike I fit a 70 no question, it is funny how I also find a 70 profile poo on a 400 I fitted one to a gsxr and only rode it for 5miles as it felt awful and never looked at one again...
I would not mess with your suspension unless you will be sitting on a grid, but if you must I would take it to a suspension expert for a consultation and adjustment session it will be the best 20 odd quid you could spend..

I've had a 70 profile get nice and friendly with my lower rad under hard braking with the forks 6 mm through the yokes. I prefer 60 profile as it's what I know and I struggle with change

I have a 110/70 on my bike and it is very twitchy.
