Re: RVF Endurance AM-PM Replica build
Very nice job , Tony.
I tried fitting a koso db02r to my track nc35 but couldn´t manage to get nice readings out of the rpm gauge. I am using a std CDI instead of a programable, as you are.
I bought it new, several months ago, but only got to install it a couple of weeks ago. It does not have some of the features the new one, yours, has ( fuel gauge, speed test...) so i guess it is an earlier model.
I have tried direct coupling to CDI, ignition coil ( both + and -) and wrapping the rpm wire around the ht lead at the spark plug, All of them whith the same result. i.e.: set rpm at the bike to 3000, it will read 3000 and then jump to 6000 back and forth. Trying to rev it higher revs will be all over the place, shiftlights on and off... quite a disaster.
Cheers, and keep it up.

Oh and i take the RPM reading direct from the CDI, if you need any more help with it just shout, i spent many late nights pissing about with it as the manual is shite. Shame cos the unit is actually a bloody good piece of kit.

Re: RVF Endurance AM-PM Replica build
It's coming along nicely!
Anymore updates?
This may be a bit late, but it's good to look at anyway: http://skylinezero17.cocolog-nifty.com/ ... -6c4d.html
Check out the OKI(s) and others too.
EDIT: Forgot to mention the YouTube links on there; well worth a look!

Re: RVF Endurance AM-PM Replica build
Yeah nice find speedy, i always thought the colour around the rear light was yellow, now i know different
I almost ordered one them HRC rear light clusters but at around £70 plus what ever import tax you get hit with it just isnt worth it.
No major updates as yet, just needs painting really when i get time and the decals when brooky has finished them.

Yeah the rear of the OKI bike is the same, I think it's a reflective decal or something.

Re: RVF Endurance AM-PM Replica build
Ouch, £70 for rear lights is a lot of dosh, even if they are HRC!!!
I think all Suzuka 8Hrs bikes had the rear light surround painted in red; the Silhouette seat units come with that bit painted in red too!
Will you be painting all the fairings yourself?
In a few months time I want some fairing bits painted properly; can you guys recommend me someone please?

hmm, I remember you telling about those HRC rear light clusters. So that is a no-go for your bike?Drunkn Munky wrote:...

That website shows great pictures of the AM-PM bike. Just tasty!

Yes going to do the paint myself, probably going to laquer over all the decals apart from the satin numberboards
