Re: My NC30 story
stopp press
just bevor weekend, another goodie arrived

389gr, Heidi will love it!
The balancer is needed every now and then.
I use a little stronger version (655gr.) on Berta already, and it really works. The 1200 V-twin just needs more ampere.

Re: My NC30 story
While waiting for the correct fork and engine paint, I wanted to do the carb modification I learned from Rick and the forum.
I realized that I have a "different" set up
Slides with three holes

Needles with no washers, they are 45mm top to bottom

Pilot screws are set 4 turns out.
Jets are 120 all around.
My modification plan:
Tyga headers with ART race can
Ignitech CDI
Tyga carbon air box
Carb tray
I think I start with 122 jets.
Any thoughts?

Re: My NC30 story
Great thread Zebulon,
Can we spread some light on these carbs as I have a spare set at home and would like to know what they are off and the correct set up for them.

That is a very rich pilot screw setting! Stick with it if it works.zebulon wrote: Needles with no washers, they are 45mm top to bottom

They are UK slides. The needles should have 1 washer (the code on them will tell you what you have).

Ok, lesson learned. They are UK slides.
carb 1 : J3GUThe needles should have 1 washer (the code on them will tell you what you have).
carb 2: J3UF
Does that mean anything to you??
It has worked, I bought it that way, but I will do some mods (see above) and need a setup to start with. That is a very rich pilot screw setting! Stick with it if it works.
Who has got a similar setup - input please

or you can e-mail them "sales-durbahn@gmx.com"
I use a stronger version on my Bimota DB6 since last year with stock alternater, no problems at all,
I do not race.
