I'm back & need bits for my GK71, also who else has got one?
Hey
The forum has changed a lot
My lovely GK71F was stolen
and recovered :) but the idiots who stole the keys to steal the bike didn't use them and busted the ignition and the fuel cap
so now I need a lock set, anyone got one or any parts of it they want to sell??
Also there don't seem to be many about now - is mine the last in the country???! who else has got one?
?
Mine's with the paint shop atm, being restored to original paint job - although pix are rare so don't know how accurate it will end up
when finished I will put a picture up :)

Sorry to hear yours got knicked but glad you've got it back! There is a fair amount of 71F stuff on ebay at the moment although I didn't notice a lockset on there. They do come up now and again, just a case of keeping an eye on it.
I've got a 71F as well - actually I've got two of them! One is the bike I ride, been all round France on it a few time and clock up lots of miles each year. It's the 1986 model with the square h/light. It's undergoing a very slow process of restoration as I ride it!
The other one is the twin h/light model and it's in bits in the back of my workshop waiting for a rebuild.
I reckon they are belting little bikes, very under rated against the more glamorous but far more fussy 76's.
Here's a picture of mine with all the luggage loaded and ready to go the evening before setting off with a mate on his Bandit for a trip round the Massif Central and the Pyrenees.

Looking forward to seeing the pics of yours....

Hey! That looks just like mine LOL
I've got the square headlight one too, picked it up for £300 a couple of years back. Absolutely cracking bike to ride, not that it gets played with very often. Having a few starting issues etc. but really need to service it, give it some new plugs and sort out the carbs I think then it will be fine! Can't get it back from the menders until I get that lockset though. Have been keeping an eye out on ebay but there never seem to be any bits. Keep seeing 76 bits but apparently the 76 ones don't fit
sounds like you've had loads of fun with yours :D

Don't suppose you are breaking any of them Kaighn80? I still need a full lock set - but more importantly a fuel cap.
no pictures yet garynortheast because until I get a fuel cap i can't get it back from the body shop - must have been there 6 months now
Can't believe there's only 3 of us who've got one?
