1wg genesis paint match for the subframe

I bought a really rusty subframe for my genesis and would like to get a close/matching silver.. any tips folks?

Have it powdercoated, will hold up wayyyyy longer than paint, and they should have a color close to frame.

Halfords do a colour matching service for paint but I'm not sure how it works as I have never used it.

I don't know if they have access to factory paint codes or if they match the existing paint on the subframe with colour charts or a scanner.
I might be able to get you a RAL number as the guy I sublet my worksop from is a powdercoater and has a lot of colour charts.

I would agree that it would be better to powdercoat the subframe, as it will get shotblasted to remove all the corrosion and will last longer than paint.
It will probably cost around £40 to powdercoat a subframe, not much dearer than buying all the painting materials that you will need.

Wire brush on a drill or angle grinder, Five Wheels Silver and a coat of cellulous laquer ... good to go.
