Crash Bungs - Where do I put them?
Hiya All,
Time to put on some decent Crash Bungs.
Where is the best place to put them on a CBR400 NC29??
Any photos would be good.
I take it I'm looking for engine Mounting points. Where the bolt thread is drill directly into the block - as oppose to lugs sticking out of the block etc.
Hope you can advise
Martin
PS:
I've had a look behind the fairing, some possible points - but would like some knowledgable feedback.

I drilled my fairing and mounted them with the top engine mounting bolt. Not sure if you can see on the pic.

ideally you need to drill the hole the same diameter as the widest part of the bungs. this lets you remove panels with out undoing the bungs every time.
to get the right place to drill. fit the bolts in with out bungs, put a blob of paint on the bolt head, line up the panel and put the panel up against it. drill here! start with a small drill and work your way up.

got a few mods to go with it..
LED rear lights/indicators
HID headlights ballast kit
H4 bulb type mod to headlights
custom design dial faces
K&N etc
it was the paint job that attracted me to the bike all those years ago.
click the link for pic.
