First "Big" bike
this is my vfr400 nc30 with pics as promised
is a 1989 g reg same age as me
done 35000 k
it is a working progress at the moment
first few pics are when i bought it

it wasnt in horrendus condition just a few little niggles so i took it off the road when the MOT was due in june and have been fiddling ever since it has now passed its MOT
and i was back on the road for 1 day before the reg rec blew up
this is the new fairing mockup

and what it looks like now dont worry about the rear brake pedal the rear brake was off the bike at the time

list of things done
second hand tyga full stainless system fitted with maggot but decided it was too loud so opted for a blue flame stainless twin port oval end can
had to repair a rear exhaust mount and one left side engine mount
new tyga upper and lower fairing as the original lowers suicided themselves on the m69
rear brake caliper cleaned new seals, polished and turned pistons
rear master cylinder cleaned and fixed it was broken lol
general service and clean
and a half hearted polish
list of things still to do
new chain sprocket etc
new reg rec
carb balance and tune
and some shiny bits (no anodised tho
)
paint job (ideas please)
finish polishing lol
can any one identify my front brake calipers dont look original as the nissin branding is facing towards the rim
as i would like to give them a good going over new seals pads etc
wat ya think
cheers alex

Re: First "Big" bike
the 'nissin' always faced in on the original calipers for the nc30, though i would guess yours have been painted as i am not aware they ever came in red.
