fzr 400 broken casing mount.
yesterday me and my dad were taking off the broken r/h side starter motor casing from where the bike had fallen over. when we took it off we found that the bottom r/h side lug had cracked in half on the engine so there is no way of getting a spare. (fzr owners should know what im talking about.)
we dont really know if its going to seal. and suggestions on what to do?.

i havent even ridden the bike yet

well, you could get somebody to put a blob of weld on it, drill it and tap it.
Or
put the new casing on and put a bolt in the hole then (don't tell anybody) but use some epoxy metal round the bolt end.

used a liquid metal a few times on minor cracks on casings with no problems.

looks like there is enough metal left to support a nut; use a nut and bolt to secure the cover.

Cheers for the advise. We put this jb weld on and moulded the shape drilled and tapped it the bolt now Screws in so it should be fine. also got some special glue stuff so it seals well.
