Best place for quality service parts?

Post by Mole »

Hey guys, where can i get decent service parts for my 89 nc30? i want to change the oil, change the air filter and all other servicable parts. also i wanted to ask, has anyone had dealings with Johns of Romford (Honda) ? i took my bike to ask about a tire change and they were very reluctant to do a full service on my bike, any reason why this would be?

those are easy jobs you named there. if you took all the fairings off, anyone could do a coolant change, oil and air filter, and oil and brake fluid change in no time at all.
however a valve clearance check is a bit more challenging as the V4 engine is so compact and supposedly more difficult to work on.
as for getting the parts i would say davidsilver spares, not the cheapest but i just feel piece of mind with OEM oil filters.
wemoto do lots of pattern parts as well.

i ave no idea why they dont want work tho, unless they are that phenomenally busy that they don't need work

hi, id just do all the work your self tbh, even the valve's can be checked by yourself, in fact theres a thread on here that explains it in detail, plus it only takes about an hour.
As for the dealer i would have thought they would be glad for the buisness with times as they are.
Id try rick oliver for all your parts, hes in here and is recommended very highly by everyone ive spoken to.
hope this helps
