Get an R6 reg/rec... you can pick them up off ebay for around £20 - £25. They last well and theres plenty of crashed R6's for parts :D
Ideally You want a 2003 - 2005 5 pin one.
You need some spade connectors and a soldering iron..
Cut the old plug off and solder, not crimp the spades onto the wires.
Then put them onto the reg-rec :) Cammo has some good pictures of the mod.

Hello Boys
Can anyone tell me what the output of the three yellow wires from the generator should be? What AC voltage reading should I get on each?
This is driving me to distraction, to the point where we are going to have a ritual, naked, moonlight burning!!!!!!!!

50v AC @ 5000rpm between the yellow wires
