It's Alive!!!
Hi all,
Thanks for the help youv'e all given me over the last couple of weeks.
The GK76A I bought as a non runner for £300.... Bargain.
New plugs, oil and filter change, carb strip + clean, downpipe de rust + re-spray and it runs like a dream. Took me a while to figure out the whole Pri, On, Res... odd system but its all good now.
Also stripped and serviced the calipers freeing up a couple of sticky pistons, resprayed the top yoke and rear caliper torque arm and given the whole bike a dammed good clean
Now just to get the bodywork resprayed, wheels powdercoated, new subframe fitted, shock serviced or a new one, fork seals changed and braided lines fitted.....
Can't wait to get it out and MOT'd.
Cheers, Chris.

Hi mate, if I understand correctly the tap positions are PRI for prime, this postion bypasses the vacuum operation of the tap and should only be used when the floatbowls of the carbs are empty to refill them. i.e after a strip and clean, you should only need it in this position for a few seconds i would think, at all other times the tap should nbe in the ON postion, even when parked up, the tap will not flow fuel in this position until the engine is cranking over or running as the engine vacuum opens the tap. Res is reserve i am sure you will have guessed!
Hope this helps, si
