reg / rec, daft question, where is it??
hi guys.
This may sound like a daft question, but after hearing of all the trouble these regs give people, i thought id have a looksie to see where mine is and what condition its in.....but i cant seem to find it....
i have an nc24.
thanks guys, i know its a daft question so im expecting the urine extraction..

You can't physically tell by looking at it.
You can test it with a multimeter.
On the 24 it's under the passanger seat above the engine on the bracket that holds the coils.

I was hoping to find it and have a look at the connectors, clean the contacts and such, but havent seen it.

Test it with a multimeter.
I've had spotless ones that have been putting out 20v and frying the batteries.
And dirty grubby ones that work fine.
The yellow wires from the altenator are the ones that tend to burn / melt / set fire when you have probs
