bike restrictor
Hi to everyone, can anybody please tell me if a bike is restricted or not. I have a CB400 superfour 1992 model which I owned for the last 6 years and if revved normally would show about 125km/hr and if revved from low gears would even top 140km/hr. Is my bike restricted or not and if so where are these and how do I remove these restrictors from my bike?

Re: bike restrictor
To be honest 140 for a 400cc isnt much. I did 120-130 on Gilera Runner 70cc
As far as I know these Hondac can go up to 200km/h so u may have a restrictor somewhere. Possibly u got a restrictor kit fitted for 33BHP on ur carbs?

Re: bike restrictor
Yours is restricted. Mine does about 190/195 in sixth gear, maybe a little more in 5th. If it is restricted in the usual way, there will probably be 4 rings in your carbs to restrict the inlet. If you get these out it will not be restricted anymore. Maybe you will need to rejet the carbs but I'm not sure.
