How loud are your exhausts?

Post by skinnydog0_0 »

Hi all.
Just wondering what sort of dB's your exhausts are kicking out?
I just measured mine and it's running at between 102.7dB and 104.6dB
Considering i am measuring on my own so cant be sure that i am at 45deg from the end of the can, and it's a little hit and miss that i am on teh 8k revs.
I have standard collector box and down pipes and a micron race can. Also removed the quitening gears.
Just wondered if twin stacks and others are a similar dB level.
Cheers

I've had some mad loud systems and some quiet ones.

Under 105 is the key ;)

My (soon to be ex) system was 106.9 lat time at a trackday... put a normal can on it and it is 105

Cheers CMSMJ1,
Yer i am just under the 105, but a little worried about going to Mallory in the future as it seems they have quite a strict 98dB level, or is that just for track days/evenings?

wouldn't worry about noise limits at mallory mate, ive seen and heard some bikes that were well over the limit on a quiet day but they don't really bother unless its obscenely loud
