Hi,

Is the NC21 regulator the same as the NC24 or are they different does anyone know?

I think my regulator is done and I know someone who has an NC21 reg for sale cheap..

You may as well upgrade while you're at it - Honda reg rects are rubbish and expensive. R6 reg rects are the go and only need some minor mods to mount them to the subframe - and they're cheap on eBay. Wiring is straight forward, but you'll have to bin the standard Honda plug and use spade plugs. More info here:

Get an R6 Reg/Rec, you can pick them up on ebay for around £20-£25.00

The NC21/24 reg/recs are poor.

Thanks for the replies I might go for the R6 Reg/Rec - Is there a certain year of R6 Reg/Rec which suits best?

i think it is 2002 onwards, can someone confirm this though before you rush an buy one.....

1999 onwards.

There have been 'unconfirmed' reports that the 99 models RR's were unreliable *shrug*

I use 2003 - 2005 models

Im about to buy a YAMAHA R6 5SL regulator- this should work ok with my 1987 NC24 then? :pray:
