Re: Found an RVF on ebay
then personally i would look else where.
just looking on ebay at the moment as work is dead, there are some nice nc30's for the same sort of money. if your in no rush, keep the money in your pocket untill the right one comes along

Re: Found an RVF on ebay
i dont trust bikes on ebay at all.
Theres a few good ones amongst the hay-stack but you might get stung unless you really know what your looking for with these bikes.
Try advertising in bike owners clubs and look in the back of bike magazines for 'better' bikes.
But they also fetch more of a premium, espeically when you think its approaching summer..

Oh and it also says advertised elsewhere, can't find it though, would be interesting to know what he wants for it.

How has he had it since 2005 and then state it was imported in 2007?
Looks alright though - I reckon the advertised elsewhere is just his excuse to pull it if not getting enough cash for it.

Looks ok but as mark said sounds a bit dodgy unless its a typo. Try and view if you can, a picture can hide a million problems. Personally i dont think your get a ready to ride decent RVF for less than £2k, Have you ridden one? or even the VFR? ive had both and the VFR's a better bike out of the crate so unless your building a rip snorting track or race bike get a VFR and spend the left over cash on bringing it back to life. Or if your a tart like i was and want the RVF for its drop dead gourgeous looks then go for it, then buy a VFR

What things should I be checking for when viewing the RVF?

the punctuation is shocking in that advertisement lol. personally, I would not part with my hard earned cash without viewing it. suppose as long as it's mechanically fine, everything else is just cosmetic. hope it's what you expect. once you meet the seller you will get an idea of the type of sale. if anything sounds funny or alarm bells go off. I would walk away there and then.

Ya we have collectively written off that first bike. We're now looking at another one.philnc35 wrote:the punctuation is shocking in that advertisement lol. personally, I would not part with my hard earned cash without viewing it. suppose as long as it's mechanically fine, everything else is just cosmetic. hope it's what you expect. once you meet the seller you will get an idea of the type of sale. if anything sounds funny or alarm bells go off.
