GK73A Problem starting/running - very odd...
Hi,
My friend bought a new bike the other day - a gk73a. It ran fine when we viewed it, but on the way home it stopped running - about 75 miles down the road.
The AA man turned up, and tried to start it (this is after we had waiting like a few hours for him to turn up), and it started OK, and revved fine. But he still recovered it on the truck to be on the safe side.
So i went out the other day to start it, and it started fine - although i didnt have alot of time so i turned it off after a minute and went about my day.
Got home this evening, started it up and it ran fine - ran it up to temperature, revved it and it all ran nicely. Switched it off and switch it back on and it came on again fine - spent a little time getting the idle just right too.
So 10 mins later after having switched the bike off, he goes to start it again to ride it home, but it refuses to start again! After a few mins of turning the engine over, it begins to fire on maybe 3 cylinders in a row, just once each time you try - just like a quick 'brrr' but thats all, nothing else.
Any ideas at all?

Ok well i took a look at the tank this evening. I drained it and took the fuel tap out.
There was crap all over the fuel tap, so i washed the tank out several times with petrol, and alot of shite came out - and the petrol that came out had an orange inge to it aswell - must be the rust infecting the petrol.
So i think it relaly needs properly cleaning out, to get ride of all the rust - any tips or ideas on how to do this, or is it bes to give this to someone with the tools and no-how?
I figure the carnbs with also need taking apart and cleaning if that shite has been going through them, aswell as new plug if they have been burining rusty petrol?
