My bike has got louder?
I took my NC30 out for a blast today, didn't notice anything different, pulled into my drive and noticed the bike all of a sudden had a deeper growl to it.
I haven't really looked into it much, I've had my dad blipping the throttle to see if I can hear where its coming from, I've ran my hand around the rear of the system (noise is coming from rear) and can't feel any air escaping.
I ran my hand around the collars and didn't particaularly feel anything, I know the collars are prone to being shite, would this create a deeper sound, which is only really noticed when being revved and not so much on tick over.
My only other thought is that some packing in the can has some loose (its a standard system)
Any help appreciated. Phil.

Re: My bike has got louder?
I would say it was the collars, my system on one of my bikes is loud as hell, and i couldnt really feel any air escaping until i took both lower panels off. Then i saw the collars and realized it was them, they had rusted through and were buggered basically. take the lowers off and have a look.

Its not a massive change in sound tbh, but noticeable. It is probably the collars, theres some exhaust bandage or something around them, I take it thats not normal?

Phil - If you need to get the collars repaired, take the system to a guy called Nick Parvani in Attleborough. This guy is a genious. 01953 454573. Hes done 2 systems of mine for me now. About £45 IIRC.
Edit: If it does need repairing, the exhaust system has to be removed.

I'll get them looked at on Monday as I've got to do an oil change anyway.
