Because your dodgy rec/rec plug and upgraded honda reg/rec could have fried your battery (doesn't matter how old it is!).ChowderV4 wrote: I just don't understand why the r6 mod hasn't sorted it.
Your alternator & wires could also be dodgy.

Re: URGENT! HELP NEEDED ASAP.
Test Everything :-)
Batterys die easily, even 5 minutes can ruin one.
Fully charge your bike battery with a proper bike charger and measure the voltage... leave the battery for a couple of days and check the voltage every couple of hours.. the float charge will drop but it shouldn't carry on dropping below about 12.8v.. knackered batteries often discharge themselves over the course of a couple of days.
Check the altenator..
Resistance between the yellows should be 0.1 - 1.0ohm
50v AC @ 5000rpm.
This indicates that it's ok but it still could be breaking down underload so don't assume 100% the genny is fine.
Check the reg-rec...
14.1-14.4v charging voltage at the battery terminals with the bike running.
Measure the voltage @ idle and @ 5000rpm.
