What about the idle screw adjuster by your left knee? Wind that in so it idles higher than std and then work back from that..

idel screw is all the way out mate. Just had a few pint's with a bloke that works at the local dealer recons the carbs need blancing. i recon this could get expensive.

If the idle adjuster is all the way out the engine wont get enough air and will cut out.

the screw is all the way out/in so surley that should mean it idels at the highest possible revs? When i had the carbs of i screwed it so that the screw bit at the top of the adjuster was pushing the the bit where the throttle cable attaches by turing it all the way out. I asumed that this would make it tick over at the highest possible tick over.
I know that's not a very techincal definition but i hope you get what i mean.

The idle screw should be screwed in so that it pushes the throttle cam arm about 2mm, you will see the throttle butterflies open very slightly. You should screw it IN clockwise.

Right turned the idel screw as far as it will go clockwise. Choke out, no throttle...starts and sit at around 2k after 5 miniutes or so it goes upto 3k'ish. Try and ballance the revs with throttle and ease off choke. Once the choke is off i ease off the throttle and she stalls :S

Why dont you wait for the o-rings i have sent you to arrive, fit them and then see what happens.

True true. But i do have a set of known working pilot screws in there atm :S
