Hi mate,
Got JE pistons and im going to dyno it soon so will let you know. Apart from the bigbore its fairly modded internaly. Are you running a 440 kit? JE or Yam and did you get it from Jay? He's a top guy, just sent me a couple of manual chain tensioners over. The 440 + VVC gives masses of bottom end.

is jay still on here? Haven't seen him in ages. We found the je pistons too heavy at around 120grams each. I think it was 98grams we got them down to in the end. You could say its a jay kit ;-)

He pops up from time to time and i post on banditally and jay looks in now and then.
So you got a yam kit then? 98 grm Is that for the full piston kit with rings etc. I gave jay the weights for the JE kit, still got the mail on B'alley and thought it was a couple of grams. Ive never worried about the weight as im not pushing the rev limit and a bigbore is going to stunt the motors life anyway. Keep meaning to stroke the motor with a early gsxr crank but the ends are all swopped around and you got to machine the clutch so just TOO much work at the mo.
Ive just run the motor in after new mains and a crank balance so as soon as i can get it to BMC for a run i will let ya know what the motors about.
Chris.

i found a crank that does fit straight in. The JE kit limits the revs to about 500rpm below std for longevity. Where the lighter piston allows the full revs to be maintained. TBH the 3mm over makes it want to rev more but it really does give a good low down kick. Chris i think you need to give me a call sometime. i'm sure we could swap lots of info. I have everything documented. Just got to find it all lol.
