Slides holes.
Rick Oliver wrote somewhere that incresing slies holes from 2 to 2.5mm affect the responsiveness of the slide (larger or more holes means a faster responding throttle).
That what they have on NC30

But when I tried to make same on NC29 I saw following
There is no hole, just this 2 small "deepening". So, is it possible ( or reasonale ) to do with NC29 slides?

Re: Slides holes.
Ok a couple of pictures to help maybe:

Poking the needle through to show the hole (both are the same) is all the way through:

Both holes were all the way through when i got the bike. Then installed the Dynojet kit and they were then both enlarged with the supplied drill bit

Re: Slides holes.
I have just fitted a Moriwaki system and it really messed up the jetting. I emailed Graeme France for advice (which he came back with very quickly as always) and he is very clear that the R model has 1 hole. I need to check the model of carbs as they dont appear to be R model carbs!Durka Durka wrote:So can anyone enlighten me to why Parus slides has no holes, mine has one and Lucas has two, which is OEM standard

Re: Slides holes.
Ok having been told that it was an R model by the guy when buying it (I didn't know what to look for at the time from one model to the next), now having looked through the manual, checked the frame number and other things such as forks, shock, its actually an N model
Its nice to know exactly which model i have and proves you cant take peoples words as being 100% exact. Sorry for the confusion it may have lead to on here
I will go away and sulk for my inferior bike lol

Re: Slides holes.
My question what is better two or one holes ? I suggest two holes is better...
