anyone interested in a new mph speedo dial?
I looked at the various options for getting my FZR to read in mph.
currently I have a speedo overlay in mph but at night it's totally unreadable.
4dx clock sets are like hens teeth/rocking horse poo.
the gold speedo converter has been discontinued.
If you can find one second hand they go for about 30 quid AND they reduce the sweep of your speedo needle.
You also no longer have an accurate representation of the km's completed on the clocks.
I approached lockwood dials. They can make up a new speedo face from my existing one.
this would mean you keep the sweep of the needle as is. your km's reading will still read in km's and be accurate but the speedo itself will read in miles per hour. This will be a direct copy so keeping the original look of the dial set.
a one off face is £150 +vat
but as a group buy these are the prices :-
"we can do 5 for £37.00 (+vat) each or 10 for £36.00 (+vat) each"
I'm happy to arrange/co-ordinate it if anybody else is interested.

Have you tried Ledgear?
http://www.ledgear.co.uk/Gauges.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Or for bodgery...
Can you not find a speedo with the same or very similar sweep and swap the face off the 3TJ speedo?
Or use a drawing package/google images and laser print onto OHP film and mount it on a semi-opaque background.
Just a couple of thoughts.

To be honest it's a lot of buggering about trying to print your own.
Plus I don't have the skills or software to make a good job of it.
I don't want a bodge. I want something that looks like it's always been there and is original fit.

I just use a gold converter.
You get used to the sweep of the needle
I don't think the odometer is an issue as most people buy the bike using condition as a guide
If means so much use an M-Max derestrictor and an FZR600 speedo
