I have a fzr6 (3he) with a foxeye (4jh) engine in it and im using the 3he coils with no problems

3he wiring loom with the 4jh cdi box wired in to it
3he carbs and rubbers but soon will be changing the carb rubbers to the 4jh ones.
No airbox as yet even after trying to mod it it wouldnt fit but will try again once fitted 4jh rubbers
Chain alignment is out by aout 10mm so going to go for the 660 conversion with the 3he bottom end to get the chain alignment back.

R6/4jh rectifier (5 pin) fitted as the 3he (4 pin) is known for over heating and cooking some of the eletrics ie melting fuse box

Rest of the bike is standard

sorry to hijack the thread, but, dont know if your interested, but ive got a brand new still in the yamaha bag 3he engine casing (that covers the generator windings)-i bought it as i assumed it was the same as the 4jh fzr600 and the t/cat.its a perfect fit but doesnt have the cutaway for the alternator leads that run out of the top of the casing.i paid 15 quid for it off e-bay with fiver postage-i only want to get back what i paid so 20 quid posted if you want it.i could mod it and make the cutaway-but i dont have heart to cut it up!

I tried to mod my 3he gen cover to fit a 4jh engine and it didnt fit as there slightly different and the 3he cover catches on something when fitted to a 4jh enhine which stops it from turning over.

Also the holes are in different places for the gen to fit on the cover and drilled some new ones.

I ended up buying a new 4jh gen cover which cost £70 from my local yam dealer
