You can use a laser tool ... but it's £50. I got one to use on the Bimota because there's no marks for the chain tensioning. probably a bitsteep for what you need. You might ask around at a garage to see if they have one you could use, or they might be able to tell you how much you need to offset the sprokets by.

How far back are the tensioners ? The chain could be knackered, they don't hold their tension when they're nearly dead.

Chain needs replacing and is nearly as far back as it goes on tensioners

One guy i came across uses EP90 (gear oil) to lube his chain and has had the same chain for 3 years

So ???
As long as the chain is kept clean, correct tension and lubed it should last ... for as long as it's life is. Different chain's have different life spans depending on their construction, the bike they're on and the kind of rider. That somebody uses one type of lube over another isn't so important. Chain oilers do seem to work though.

If the sprokets are out of line you'll be putting a sideways stain on it which will cause it to wear premeturely.

Um ... the front sprocket looks worn.
I suppose if there's no offset to them you can clean and fit them backwards so the unworn teeth are driving.

Not bothered about sprockets and i turned my rear one around today

Reason i bought it is because of the chain has done about 300 miles and would be about half price to a new one

Im not working so have to be tight on money

300 miles ??? they meant to say 3000 but the sprokets look more wear.

I hope it's just the picture and the chain is ok

I got chain and sprockets less then 24 hours after paying for them and they are now fitted after having to take swing off to fit chain all because the tool for chain i used broke but glad i did as found bolt at top of rear shock loose

Chain is nice and tight and sprockets are ok and show some wear

looks like ill have to go throw bike and use thread lock

Cool - glad it was ok.

Maybe you just need to check the torque of some nuts and bolts, good excuse to clean and grease the linkages
