looks like an aftermarket thing ... and Cibie make headlamps so it might be a relay for uprated bulbs ... that's just a geuss though. have a look at the buld rating and or type

I think it's a "non-essential item"

theyve got h4 60/55w the wiring from the units goes back to the headstock

I wouldn't worry about it and I doubt it makes the bike any faster or lots of the bikes would have them,

just looked at the bub holders one has been modded has the 2tk got high and low beam on both lights
