STEP 1
A) 13.37 volts
B) 0
C) 0.37
STEP 2
A) 13.27 volts
B) 12.45 volts
STEP 3
A) 13.08 volts
B) 12.80 volts
STEP 4
A) 1(no movement in the reading)
STEP 5
A) 1(no movement in the reading)
In your opinion what do you think??????

I cannot figure out what steps you take and which directions you are going. I am being a little slow...
At 5000 revs - how much voltage DC have you got?
At 8000 is it the same or near as damn it?

I read that guide along with your notes... but I cannot figure out which arrows you take and which exact steps they are..

Thanks for helping everyone but I have scrapped the guide above and reverted to the haynes manual and if I have done everything correct then its pointing towards the reg/rec, so I am going to buy one of the r6 yamaha reg/rec and fit that as they seem to to be superior. But I will let you all know what the outcome is one way or another, so again thanks everyone......

B) 0 - No current leakage... excellent (or your meter isn't senstive enough)

A) 1(no movement in the reading) - I dont' undersand this one.. set it to Ohms (Resitance) and you shouldn't have a reading between generator and earth
All in all, what you have shown by these tests it that your battery has a good state of charge when you started testing. However, when your engine is running your regulator / rectifier isnt' producing charge voltage. It has also shown that this is possible due to blown diodes in the reg/rec.
Ditch the RR and fit a Suzuki GSXR600 K1-K3 reg/rec. Mine produces a constant 14.4 volts throughout the whole rev/range and the headlight is as bright as it can be :-)

Ok, so my generator/alternator/stator (what ever it's called) seems to be pushing out 45 - 50ish at round 5k rpm on all wires so that's fine.
The battery is 12.50ish with ignition off.
At idle it's 12.05 but goes up by 0.1 slowly and steadily... when i take the rev up to 2.5k them the battery goes up to 12.4ish and at 5k rpm it goes up to 12.8 but it goes up slowly by 0.1 to 0.15... the longer I hold at a steady rpm the higher the volts go.. (didn't do this for too long so I don't know at what point it would stop)
Then I followed step 4 in the guide provided(same one brido used).. the diode test shows 306 on one, 004 on the middle one and 329 on the last.. so is it safe to say that the Regulator/Rectifier needs to be replaced?
Can it be repaired? i.e. if a diode is dead, can I replace just the one diode?

Sounds like the regulator has died, the diodes have failed and it isn't providing sufficient charge to the battery.
You should have >13.8 at idle.
The R/R is a sealed unit and can't be repaired.
Ditch it and get a GSXR Reg / Rec.
