Headlight dim at tickover
Hi, my headlight goes dim at tickover or any revs below 2000rpm, over that it's nice and bright. Is the regulator faulty or is this normal?

Very normal and is a good sign of a healthy regulator.

This is very good to know, I always wondered when sitting behind cars at lights and noticing that my light got brighter when reving the bike. Phew!!!superfourben wrote:Very normal and is a good sign of a healthy regulator.

Re: Headlight dim at tickover
It's normal and fine, but might also be a sign of a battery not holding enough charge. If the batt dies, it can take a reg with it. Keep an eye on it and if cold starting in the morning becomes problematic, get a battery sooner than later.
