chain - split link or rivet link?

Post by nick »

Ok, need your thoughts, feelings, experiences of chain links.

I'm swapping over to a 520 chain and i've been given a non o-ring chain with a split link to use on the track bike. It's a new chain and looks good quality but i'm not sure about the split link.

Also, will a non o-ring chain be ok on the track as i've never used one before?

Ta!

make sure the open end of the link is facing back from direction of travel (rotation) and keep the chain well lubricated should have no problems!
