Still looking ..found one local awhile back, but the seller wanted $10K for it. Thats about $2k more than what i wanted to pay soo.. the search continues.

Are those exhuast port gaskets the ones that mate to the cyclinder heads and rear manifold? If so, I need the two front and two rear if you wanna send them my way (CA)?

But seriously, if you want to sell them let me know.

I was looking at the part numbers and think they are the same as a VFR so maybe i can get the local honda dealer to order them.

I'm going to need the ones I have, but when I get done with the build I'll let you guys know what's left over. Or you could just order from Rick Oilver, he's the man.

The first one is 18391...., otherwise, yes those are the part numbers.

I spent most of the night getting things cleaned up and organized in the garage. Within the frame of view of the first picture is a complete NC-35, it's all in there, somewhere! You just gotta look for it all. Many, many boxes of parts. Once you spread it all out it takes up alot of space. I'll be happy just to get it all back together over the next few months. I also spent about an hour at the bench grinder with the wire wheel working on the shift linkage which was quite rusty, and the rear manifold. The rear manifold will be the first thing to go on the motor. That will start the assembly process. If you saw in the Classic RC-30 video that was posted, they slide the frame over the rear manifold and motor as they are assembing the bike. I'll learn from the HRC pros and do the same. Events of the day. I'll be going to Miami next weekend for the 4th of July to visit the in-laws and my brother in law has a body shop there. So I 've been trying to get all the body panels ready to drop off for paint. I've stripped all the stock decals and had to fix a few small cracks and give them a preliminary sanding. I got two uppers with the deal so I'm converting the bad one into a trackday fairing. I had to fill the headlight holes and fill the turn signal holes. I used some thin metal sheeting to make a form for the outside, then filled the inside with fiberglass cloth and Bondo-glass. Once it dried, I removed the form and filled the outside. Cheese grated and sanded down the excess and the initial results are pretty good. Still have to fill, sand, and prime, but I should have them all ready by next weekend.

Damn, if only I had known you were going down this route I could have saved you alot of trouble. Excuse the hijack but for anyone else thinking of doing the same or maybe a suzuka conversion I have moulds for headlight blanking plates, just bond or tape in place, exact copy of lights so minimal filling and finishing.
Anyway, looking good there Hooligan, your bike is gonna be one uber-clean RVF.

Carlos, those look good, do they slide/pop in from the back? If I only had one upper, I would have tried something like that but since I had the spare, eh, why not. On other bikes for the track I would just cut out headlight covers from decal stock. Again, what's nice about the NC-35 is that when you remove the upper the lights are attached to it, so away they go. Most other bikes the lights are attached to the bike and then you have to cover them up somehow. Thanks for the post.
