I don't suppose you still have these parts for sale do you?

I'm building a track bike from a Yamaha SZR660 frame and apparently these FZR front ends are a straight swap and improve the handling no end over the stock SZR kit.

Might even be interested in the shock too.

Any chance of some pictures? What price where you asking? where are you located?

From memory the forks are longer than TJ's .... I can't remember if this was done on a 1WG or TJ .... but they dropped the forks about 50mm in the yokes to get the bike back to level.
The disk is 320mm although I think the forks have mounting holes each side.

yeah thats the crucial thing-lenghth(oooer) if theyre too long then they wont fit under the screen brace and im sure the szr has a lug on the other fork for another caliper.

I think they fit ... in a similar way to the R6 forks

measure twice.

Your right in saying they have a lug for another caliper and the wheel has the mounting face for a second disc. They are 320mm discs and brembo calipers.

Unfortunatly i don't have a spare front end.. I've got a frame, swingarm, subframe, brakes, back wheel, radiator etc etc that i'm slowly trying to build it up into a full bike to use for some trackdays etc.

From what i've read on the Forum here and elsewhere i'm spoilt for choice for a front end that will fit. i'm just looking for something good at the right price..

Current shortlist is RGV250/GSXR400 USD, FZR400RR SP or a Thundercat RWU set up. Thundercats seems to be the cheapest to procure but can anyone let me know if its a good choice? Are the legs a suitable length?

Not sure what the T'Cats have on the inside but they're a 41mm dia with 100mm caliper bolt spacing, the blue spot Yam calipers are standard. The brake discs are the wider internal dia ones, common to the R6. Not a bad frnt end (include the wheel).

The SP forks are nice though, 43mm dia and 83mm caliper spacing you'll only be able to use the RR / SP calipers. They're not so bad though, keep them clean fit EBC HH pads and a good master cylinder and they'll stop hard. The forks are cartridge type (20mm maybe), keep the compression adjusters free of road salt.
SP forks are a bit rare because the racers use them.

You might find the FZR600 foxeye or 600 Fazer front end will be a bit cheaper the forks are similar to the T'Cat and the front wheel take the smaller dia brake discs
