ive been usingthe fzr for work for the last few weeks as my trusty cg125 work hack has finally succumbed to the neglect and abuse dished out to it on my daily commute to work.i always feel guilty if i have to use the fzr as it seems cruel to make a 20 year old bike crawl its way thru,rain,snow and blizzard -it just doesnt feel right.all was well the first few weeks until we had a few days of torrential rain,and as if to show its disgust at being the daily work hack she started to misfire and genrally misbehave.i put up with it for a few days and finnally relented and bought some nic iridium cr9eix plugs as a bribe for the old girl as she was either dropping a plug (they were the ones that came with the t/cat motor-i didnt change them or even look at them ) or shorting out via the ht leads as theyre the original 20 year old 3tj ht leads and plug caps.sure enough the caps and leads were knackered and i then remembered i hadnt fitted the thundercat coils that id kept from the donor t/cat as the 3tj ones are 1.8 -2.2 ohms and the t/cat are 2.2-2.6 ohms.the fittings are different so i wired the t/cat coils into the tj loom and what a difference!it picks up revs alot quicker and is much more perky everywhere,i cant beleive i forgot all about it (still havent fitted the plugs though!)

This is one of the mods I have on my "to do" list. Would you be able to post a few pictures and info on the mounting?

The TJ mounting is just a rubber strap over the coil.

I've got a pair of coils and leads from the bimota (standard Suzuki GSX-R1100W) somewhere
