07/05/09 silverstone evening trackday pics

Just a few pics from my latest trackday, where I showed people that a dirty 400cc bike can mix it with big bikes if ridden correctly. Was only a couple of 1000cc bike could not stay with, though thats not from trying. Did lose the back and front a couple of times trying, as have to make up all the time lost on straights, on the brakes and cormer speed.

nice pics Gav, well played!

I enjoyed Silverstone on my 400 the couple times I have done it - the abbey curve and into bridge corner were flat out and very exciting!

yea I used to like the old Abbey curve, but they are now taking you round a new chicane before it to slow you down

Thanks I was plesed too, as its not the most roomy bike. The bike (GK76) was borrowed off a mate as I had to sell my GK73. Had to lift the tank up 8mm using washers, so I could lock my leg into the cut out on the tank, there not really designed for 6ft tall people.

Hopefully he will let me use it again and this time I will fit my supercorsa sc1/2 tyres as the 6 year old Pilot race, were a bit scary at times :o (power slide on a 400 anyone)
