GPS track-timer for you trackday addictd
Hello
I bought a few weeks ago a device that I think could be interesting for some of you here.
You ride on trackday, and don't want to pay a lot for a timing device??
I bought on ebay an "iblue 747pros 747 pros USB/Cable GPS Recepteur/Logger/Tracker w Phototagger".
it's a small device, around 5*7*2cm . Once loaded (usb) and once the setup is done (usb, and a software not so hard to use, bt747), you stick it on your bike (I used ductape on the seat cowl) and start it.
at the end of your session, you turn it off.
at the end of the day, you plug it in your computer, you retrieve the data with the bt747 soft, open an other software (racechrono is great), import your data, and start playing.
it'll show you the track, you'll be able to set your own start/finish line, your own split/traps, and it'll give you a detail of all your laptime, your best lap, your "optimate lap", the speed through the split, the time between each split, the top and low speed (show you where your start braking, where you stop braking, etc).
I show you here some screen capture of the result, but for 53€ delivered, I though it was a great device

Hey Tom,
I've used this before - it is awesome. I datalogged a 3hr endurance race with it....
I also use it to log ride outs - as you can export it to google earth and show people where you have been or get an idea of the route you took. It is awesome.

What was the software you used on that old nokia...I remember there was a thread about it, but couldn't find it whilst thinking about it last week at zakynthos...Drunkn Munky wrote:Me too, i used a old nokia phone i had though, worked a treat

The nokia uses Symbian SW - it can run racechrono - check the racechrono site out and it lists the working phones.
I use an old E50 and also an N95 for mine..though I also have it on my Android galaxy S2

Nope - more like this one
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GLOBALSAT-BT3 ... 4ac4d6aaf8
Just a boggo standard GPS device that I velcro and ziptie to my top yoke, phone in my pocket and set it off before you come down to the track.
