Im not saying he could fix it, he clearly doesnt have clue about bikes either. Im just saying if it was my kid then id fix it and highlighting the fact of why xivlia hasnt sent his bike off to someone to fix it.speedy231278 wrote:Yeah, but if his dad could fix it, wouldn't he have helped?

Sorry, was a typo on my part. Knew it was there somewhere, locked rather than deleted. I'd rather not find it again thanks!Neosophist wrote:It isnt gone. It is locked. You will probably find it on page 2 or 3 since threads go down the list when they are not replied to.
Though i agree that it'll be interesting to hear what his mechanic diagnosed.

My guess is that there was some sort of problem between the handlebars and the seat.

I was thinking much the same. Here in computerland, us support type people use the acronym PEBCAK/PEBKAC (problem exists between chair and keyboard or vice versa). Now, can we create a half decent sounding one for bikes?

Is this going to be another epic 100 pager?
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.
