Insurance isn't compulsory in Australia.xivlia wrote:how does that work?
The majority of riders I know don't have it.

I don't even have third party! It's probably not the best idea because if I run into a Ferrari, I'm screwed.

True, I just assume a Ferrari driver would prefer to use their insurance rather than trying to get the cash out of me!Jashdown wrote:I don't even have third party! It's probably not the best idea because if I run into a Ferrari, I'm screwed.
Apologies for being off topic, after 120+ pages it's hard to remember what this thread was about.

I've been away for a few days, where's the massive 100+ page thread gone?

Since the thread was just going in a circle and xilvia has decided to take the bike to a mechanics today (this Thurdsay) we can wait until he gets back and posts up his results of how it went.
There was no need for it to keep going anymore.
That's why

Re: xivlias thread of multiple problems?
Sod that. What if you have an at fault accident and cause someone a disability? How are you going to afford to pay their compensation without being bankrupted for your entire life as a result? What if Mr Ferrari sues you for the damage to his car? I'd rather fork out £200 or so a year and know that if I screw up, well, it's going to cost me two years NCB, my excess, and a bit of embarrassment.Cammo wrote:Insurance isn't compulsory in Australia.xivlia wrote:how does that work?
