hi, i have a nc29 and have been looking at the specificions on the bike, it says 6 speed but mine only has 5 gears, i know this sounds like someone retarded or something but genuinly i counted all my gears from first and i only have 5? but yet the bike still hits 125-130 mph (indicated), and pulls like a train, anyone shine some light on this? its a 1990 cbr 400 nc29.

What does the graphic on the sprocket cover say? Does it have 1-N-2-3-4-5 or 1-N-2-3-4-5-6 stamped on it?

i suspected id get that reply nope, counted several times, always took it down to first and counted up to fifth.

therz no way i might have a nc23 engine in mine is there? oor dont they fit?

To my knowledge a 5 speed box for a 29 doesnt exist
