Joes bike

Post by jowyvfr » Sat Mar 21, 2009 5:31 pm

So i've had my bike for a few years now and its been through a few changes. When I got it it was a bag of nails if Im honest. Having sent it through a hedge I decided to send it off to Graeme France for a bit of tlc......a total rebuild later  and it is now my pride and joy. It does everything for me, its my daily commuter, sunday blater, and track day racer as well. Its not finished and I doubt it ever will be but I enjoy fiddling with it, adding bits and pieces where I can. As it is it won't be to everyones taste but hey...its my bike!! The black paint is a temporary thing and it has its scars in it, but works well to help cover up the dirt from the commutes! One day i'll get round to giving it a proper paint scheme. Anyway below are a few pics of it in its various guises.

How it started off, my favourite paint scheme and what I may end up painting it like again one day! pretty much standard at this point, all be it a bit ropey!

After chucking it into a hedge I needed some new bodywork.
Before painting. has a highrise link pipe and GF carbon can on at this point.

After I painted it, and awaiting decals.

Image

Decided not to go for the decals in the end and went for the all black instead. think it has the endurance nose on at this point.

Image

Went down the tyga route. And also treated the old girl to an MHP twin stack as well.

And this is how it is at the moment, as i say, wont be to everyones taste. I know there are the people on here who don't like the modified look ;) to those that do, I hope you like it.

I think it was me who made a some what harsh comment (looking back at it) about your bike when it had the Tyga rear and endurance front. I apologise. Looks friggin awesome at the mo. Good job :P

I like it lots..

Only thing I would say is that it looks kind of heavy with the blackness all over...if you know what I mean? Almost said fat..but that is not right..

It is the canine undercarriage though!

I really like this bike too. Joe, how do you find the RC45 seat? I have one sitting awaiting paint along with the rest of the panels. Do you find it sturdy enough?

Cheers for all the comments guys, nice to hear what people think. I have this site to thank as I think I've bought most of my stuff from people on here! Not to mention Graeme for undoing all my dodgy handywork and keeping it all working for me! As I said Its not finished, more bits to come so watch this space! The bodywork rear seat was a tyga jobby from jap4, If its pretty good but not perfect, it fits like a glove, can't fault it but it is very thin and has flexed causing the paint to split slightly in a couple of places, maybe they're better now, I'd like to hear what the latest ones are like once the irish guys have fitted theirs. The front fairing came from Rhory iirc. I think if i was to spend big money getting it sprayed i might look at buying some silhouette stuff. Cheers again people.
