Kenthammers NC30

Thought I would throw up a pic or so.
92 model, appears to have been built during Sep 92, going by date marks on the panels and the rider and pillions seats are dated Aug and Sep 92. Frame number is past 10000 for model year.
Was crated up unused until BATs imported it in 98, then first reg Sep 99.
Have most but not all of the history from 1st purchase.
Searched for a couple of years to find a decent base bike, and found this one in 2014.
Stripped it down as it was clear most of the parts were original, thanks to help from Rick O, did his upgrade on the forks, Electrex RR, Hels, Rejetted and serviced the carbs, was surprised to find no gunge, but had them cleaned anyway, cleaned all the switchgear, set of Samco hoses, upgraded battery, renthal sprockets, full engine service, rads out and cleaned through, test and check all electrics and connections, rebuilt the callipers with new OEM seals, SBS pads, changed most suspension/wheel bearings, as was working in the US a lot, and common OEM parts were around 75% cheaper than Honda UK.
Had Mike Capon build a rear shock to suit me and with option of changing to 17” wheel if tyre supply dries up.
Must have missed some bits but spent far too much time and money on what was meant to be a cheap sunny day bike to ride around on.
Hard to be 100% but mileage is at 13K and ties in with the history, but who knows. 1st owner had BATs fit a MPH clock from new.
Cracking little bike to ride and handles sweetly.

Nice looking bike and from what you've said it's in excellent nick. Good ones are getting fewer so it's nice to see one that's clearly cared for. Had a quick browse on eBay and there are a few for sale, most of which are far from good, despite their owners praise. I think some owners have no idea that their bike is missing bits or has a heap of unoriginal parts. Or maybe they just don't care. Glad to see yours is an exception.

Some things just snowball out of control, needed 2 tyres for the MOT, took the wheels off, could just feel the slightest drag on one of the bearings, so replaced both. So with the bike on the stand, thought it’s been a few years since fork oil, so dropped the forks, bit silvery looking at the end of the drain, so new bushes ordered up, and a full clean out and rebuild. Whilst waiting for the bushes, looking at the bike thought might as well whip the plugs out, look OK abut seems daft not to change them now I’ve gone this far, and the filters a bit dirty so might as well do a proper job, 2 filters changed.
Looking at it again, would be stupid not to drop that stem and check the bearings, all good luckily, cleaned and regreased.
Back rubber cushion on tanks a bit worn and splitting....20 quid later that’s replaced. About to put the whole lot back in place, give the carbs a balance and then off to the MOT..........only needed 2 tyres when I started

That is a lovely example. Makes mine look (more) shabby...

What's that stand you're using? Looks the dog's - I want one! Assuming it will support a 'Blade or EXUP?

I bought mine when they launched at the bike show over 20 years ago. Making no claims it’s better than anything else , but it’s quality and longevity is bulletproof. When it launched it had 2 supports for wheels off and 2 wheel cups for wheels on, my mate bought one last month and they now offer a footpeg clamp rather than side stand clamp which he thinks is easier to set up.
The side stand clamp can be a faff at first but once you used it a couple of times it’s straightforward.
If the bike has a standard foot on the side stand there’s a clamp, for the NC30 it’s mounts as below to the bracket.
Must have used it on tens of bikes over the years, as for Blades I’m on my 8 or 9th, lost count and lifts them with ease, think the red one is rated at 350kg, if the bike is set up correctly ie upright, then the only way the stand topples is to physically push it over.
I hang it on the wall

Well bugger me with an old downpipe, they're round the corner from work and I never noticed  May have to pop by, in the course of work naturally

The guy that designed it still runs it and you talk direct to him, it’s a bit old school.

Also had one of them, & liked it - definitely solid. Although sold it 7 years ago as they don't fold up & take lots of space when not in use. Now ended up with an Abba Skylift which is far more versatile. Its also moveable when under load & breaks down for easier storage

Yep agree, the Skylift is a good stand, don’t have any storage issues as I hang mine on the wall, single bolt is all it takes for the hanging point, and no hydraulics to go wrong is a selling point I guess, as there’s no fear leaving the bike up in the air as it’s a worm screw design. Horses for courses, it’s what suits your situation, but always seen good reviews of both.
