Got the shock in, must say its quite a ballache compared to the nc30. Anyway its in without any scratches etc. Still need to mount the reservoir as Kais sent clamps that were far too big so had to order some new ones. Had to mod the exhaust guard a tad to be able to run the hose for the res too.

Got the battery and new strap along with the plug for the optimate.

Also did the air filter, not been changed recently

Forgot the take a before pic but the water pump had a load of that pink crust on it. Looks so much better now.
Image

Start of doing the valve clearance check, started with the front head (cyl2+4). The exhaust pills could be somewhat challenging to get in.
Image

The rear head was so much easier, although it had a few more bits to move out the way.
Image

New plugs in with some high temp anti seize on the threads.
Image

Woo valve lash done, slowly getting through the job list

Looking good Timbo

I spy on your list "Get single seat cover".
Not sure if the 30 and 35 are the same...but if they are, I have one sat on my shelves, could save you a few quid ;)

Ahh - as I only have NC30s, I am guessing an NC30 seat cowl then ;)

Looking good so far

Got the front cowl and fender off to have the paint sorted. Hopefully get them back soon.

Also a rear seat cover turned up for a good price, I did not turn down the offer.
Just need to paint it, got some black vinyl coming that will hopefully be a good enough match for the number boards.

Got some garae time so thought Id get the front end sorted, the seals were rusting and leaking.

The start

Forks out
Image

Mid way cleaning everything up
Image

Both legs done, new seals, bushes aswell as new springs from Rick Oliver
Image

Back in
Image

While the wheels were off thought Id get the rear pads changed (fronts are ok for the moment)
Image
Image

And get the new tyres on
Image

And on the bike all torqued up, with a new split pin for the rear.
