So as photobucket seems to be working again I thought I’d post this up. I imported this bike from Japan a good few years ago but it’s looking rather sad as it sat outside in Japan and also sat at the back of my shed for a good few years.

This is is when I bought it:

Spec is as follows:

Engine - unknown but def been ported by the looks of it
HRC tach and temp gauge
Endurance tank
HRC carbs
HRC rads
Std later rear shock
Later forks
Std wheels 18”
HRC rearsets
HRC oil cooler
HRC steering damper

Also it’s an incredibly early frame no being 1148

The blurb when I bought it said it raced at Tsukuba in the 6 hour race in Japan

Main things that needed doing were as follows:

Top rad repaired or replaced
Forks rebuilt
Shock rebuilt/replaced
Carbs rebuilt
Frame cleaned of corrosion
Brakes rebuilt as completely stuck solid
Tank repaired as it looks botched
Wheels refurbed
End can fitted as it’s missing

Ohh am sure it will be very nice mate and well clad in HRC goodies.....crack on

So started by giving it a good clean but waiting on scotch pads to get the corrosion off the frame. Front head and frame sections are after cleaning

End can rebuilt and started cleaning it up, I forgot a before pic but this is it with the bad gouges gone, it had been down the road and was heavily scratched

And mice had got at th clock foam so I made a new one out of stiff neoprene, not perfect but will do

Rear shock that’s going it it is an HRC nc23 one that I bought from Japan that had been fitted to an NC30, it’s been sent away for a rebuild and should be back Friday
