Nor had I, you have done everything else on both bikes yourself so you certainly aren't stupid so if you can do all that then you can easily change a clutch just take your time. Hey you even bought a new clutch nut and gasket. Have faithGimly56 wrote:Yeah clutch nut, gasket....may as well do it once and do it right!! Haven't replaced a clutch before so fingers crossed I don't botch it.cbr400rrn wrote:Fitted one of theirs to my nc29. What a difference I hadn't realised the clutch was slipping that much. Did you get a new clutch nut as well

Clutch works a treat! Took the bike for a ride today and it performed well. Sadly now I am going to sell it and use the cash from the sale to work on my other bikes!!

I’d be interested to see how much it goes for, sadly might have to part with mine at the end of the year as well. Are you selling through Trade Me?

Re: My 1st NC23 in NZ
Yeah I listed it as an auction on Trademe. Only asking $2500 for it, as it will cost $500-700 to get it re-vinned.
They go for about $3500-4k these days.
I didn't intend on keeping it. I just wanted to repair it and bring it back to life for someone else to enjoy. Sadly most of these bikes get ripped to pieces and sold for parts after a minor accident.

I sold my NC23. It was annoying me and taking up too much valuable shed space. Got it road legal and sold it to a Honda Motorbike Mechanic. Is in good hands now and will be a xmas present for his wife.
