Old panels came off today, they weren't in too bad condition, in fact they were pretty good for 17 year old plastic.
I spent some quality time in the garage putting on my new panels. She now looks like a new bike.
Only dilemma now is what colour to paint the wheels.

Would it look any good with white wheels I wonder? Gold does look good with red though..

The plan was always to go with white wheels but after having the wheels on my old OKI powdered gold I'm now in two minds.
Here's some examples of what it could look like.
Not the best gold on the RVF so it would be more this colour.

The way i see wheel colour choice on a RR is,
White, looks nice but makes the bike look a bit toy ish
Black, looks tough and IMO looks right for the style of bike
Gold, just works
