I have the GF HRC ramair on my 29 and I run it with a K&N filter, never had any problems with it

Did you cut out the paper part of the filter Yakama, as per the GF fitting instructions?

Just re read the GF instructions and its a HRC type filter that you remove the paper part from. I think the K&N filters are all paper so you can't remove it!
With the Honda filter you end up with just a metal gauze covering the inlet trumpets and its not a very fine mesh so I suspect some crud is getting through. I'll see how the wife's tights perform at the weekend!

The K&N filter is a DIY modification, with the filter bonded to the original filter frame. It's probably more restrictive than running no paper filter at all, but at least it keeps crud out of the engine. I've been running this filter for a couple of years now on my track bike.

He's got an NC29 so you can buy a specific direct fit one from K&N

My bike runs great with it and is a decent spec about 72bhp

I'd sell a kidney to get 72bhp.

Yes its an NC29, standard apart from RVF pistons and the Ramair. Measured at 63bhp on OTC Racing's dyno ,which I'm quite happy with.

So the tights worked a treat! Unfortunately, I got a bit carried away and binned it, breaking a wrist and bruising my back. Bikes a bit of a mess but the airbox is spotless!
Oh well, roll on next season.
