Re: NC30 Honda Britain rep
Ive said many times i wouldnt take my mags anywhere else to be done, £200 for the pair but that includes crack testing and the right treatment for mag wheels.
He's just done my van wheels too and i think your agree they look stunning
Even though they were banded from brand new steels they wasnt finished properly and i think i told you i had rust pissing out from the join when it rained. When steve did the wheels he took extra time to make sure all the corrosion was gone, rust treated the join and then placed powder in by hand, baked them to ensure the join was sealed before even doing the top coat. And he did all this without being asked, top guy and keeps you updated with the progress.

Those wheels look brilliant in white! What sort of special treatment do they need to be painted? I saw an RC45 with some magnesium wheels on last year and the paint had reacted funny making it look like the wheels where cracked!

Re: NC30 Honda Britain rep
Yeah ive made that mistake, they have a chromate coating put on the bare mag then a heat treatment whatever that means. If thats not done then the paint/powder will end up like you described.

Tony, I read an article today in UK classic racer mag at the bookshop, featured Phil Mccallan. Did you read this too?
